Thrive Parenting Class

Next Starting Date Fall, 2023

We teach parents proven,  science-based strategies to improve behavior and  thrive with ADHD

Effective parenting is essential to the success of children with ADHD. However, difficult child behavior contributes to family stress and leaves parents looking for solutions that are lasting. Thrive Parenting integrates behavioral, cognitive, and emotion-focused intervention components that help parents and children with ADHD.

Thrive Parenting is targeted toward parents who need help with children who have ADHD. This is a comprehensive group/workshop in a small group format. Each family will be interacting with a therapist throughout the program. Our program is based on recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics and from programs that have empirically shown to help families and children with ADHD.

  • Parents will learn ways to influence their child’s behavior and how to reinforce behaviors effectively.

  • How to handle difficult behaviors and meltdowns.

  • How to connect with and build confidence in your child.

  • Learn the difference between effective and ineffective discipline, and the best ways of responding to their child.

  • How to set up the home environment so your child can thrive

  • Communicate with schools and teachers to get their child's needs met.

  • The program saves parents time and money by having a roadmap for their child and having tools and skills that last.
