Hope and help when life gets hard….
Sometimes life circumstances, emotions, family struggles or parenting can
feel draining, overwhelming or hopeless. It can be difficult to know what
steps to take next, or maybe it feels like you’ve tried everything and nothing
is getting better. It is a privilege to meet with individuals and families who
need someone to listen, care and figure out practical next steps with them.
Anxiety, Adoption, Trauma, ADHD…
These are some of the factors that impact adults and children and can
make parenting challenging at times. While working in foster care/adoption
agencies, churches and private practice settings, I have gained a passion
for seeing families strengthened. Parenting is a tough job! As a Play
Therapist I value including parents in the counseling process when
working with children and teens, providing encouragement, tools and
suggestions for increasing connection and positive interactions at home.
In addition to children and families, I specialize in working with women on
issues related to relationship difficulties, boundaries, depression, anxiety
and childhood trauma. I especially love including a Christian faith
perspective if that is important to you.
