First Steps To Help an Anxious Child

One of the first things you can do as a parent, teacher, or caregiver is to acknowledge your child's anxiety. When you help a child name the feeling they can learn to communicate what they are feeling. When your child is able to tell you they are anxious you can provide support for that anxious feeling. When a child doesn't have words they will act out or get confused.

You can learn more about helping your child with their anxiety by signing up for our SPACE workshop. SPACE helps parents understand how to deal with anxious childhood emotions.
